In the series finale, Colorado State wore their state pride jerseys and secured the series with a 8-0 win in five innings.

JUST SHORT
Colorado State has been in some close games as it has a 4-13 record in games decided by two or fewer runs. In the non-conference slate, the Rams have been on the wrong side nine times in those games. Since the start of Mountain West play, CSU has been in four games that came down to just needing a timely hit. All three games against San Jose State were decided by two or fewer runs with the Rams coming up with a series sweep and the lone loss in the series against New Mexico.

TAKING THREE
Ashley York has hit a team- and Mountain West-high six triples this season, including one in the New Mexico series. She also recorded a triple-bagger against San Diego State, Northern Colorado, Utah Valley, San Jose State, and Colgate this season. Her six triples rank No. 2 in the country. As a team the Rams have totaled eleven triples – two by Hailey Smith and Peyton Allen and one from Maya Matsubara – while allowing just two.

PLAYING CLEAN
Since the start of Mountain West play, the Rams' defense has committed just six errors, leading them to a .981 fielding percentage, which leads the Mountain West. Boise State is the only other conference opponent that has limited their errors to single digits, while everyone else has at least ten errors in conference play.

SWIPING BASES
Since the start of league play, the Rams are third in the Mountain West for stolen bases as they have swiped 14 bases in 15 attempts. Ashley York leads the Colorado State with five stolen bases in five attempts, which places her in second in the Mountain West action. Peyton Allen is tied for fourth in the conference with three stolen bases in three tries.

OPPONENT SCOUT
The Bears come into play after a conference series against Sacramento State. UNC lost two out of three to the Hornets with a final score of 10-7 and 4-1. The Bears lone victory in the series came in the first game as they won 3-0. UNC has an overall record of 17-23 and a 5-4 record in Big Sky conference play.

UNC is led by Kaileigh Holland at the plate who is hitting .320 avg with four home runs. Holland also is second on the team 39 hits and 29 RBI. From the circle the Bears are led by Meghan Golden who is 11-7 on the season with a 3.44 era. Golden has gone the distance in 13 games for the Bears.

OPPONENT HISTORY
When looking at the history between the Rams and the Bears, Colorado State holds a 44-39 advantage, which includes three contests from this season. The Rams and Bears faced each other in the Colorado State Classic earlier this season with the Rams taking two of the three. CSU took the first and third games, 12-2 (5) and 9-1 (6), respectfully. UNC took the second game after coming back in the final two innings to take the game 4-3 in eight frames.
