Rams Add Arizona Transfer Emery Herman to 2023 Roster

Setter will enter with two years of immediate eligibility
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State Volleyball will have a new addition to its roster ahead of the 2023 season as Head Coach Emily Kohan announced Monday the addition of setter and Arizona transfer Emery Herman.

Originally from Georgetown, Texas, Herman will join Colorado State with two years of eligibility remaining after being a three-year starter for the Wildcats. She recorded over 1,000 assists in both of the last two seasons at Arizona while also being an exceptional blocker and passer as a six-rotation setter.

"We are so excited to have Emery joining us for the next two seasons, especially to train with our team this off-season," Kohan said. "She is an extremely talented setter, and tenacious defender, who has a great work ethic and leadership skills. Her experience of starting in the Pac-12 for the past three seasons is a valuable addition to our group."

During her time at Arizona, Herman played in over 300 sets across 90 matches while she sits only 11 assists short of 3,000 assists in her career. Totaling nearly 300 career kills, 89 service aces, over 800 career digs and 200 total blocks, Herman brings instant athleticism to the Colorado State roster. She will also bring with her a double-digit assist streak of 84 matches, dating back to Jan. 24, 2021.
