Kamara Named Midseason All-American by CBS Sports and Associated Press

FORT COLLINS - Colorado State defensive end Mohamed Kamara picked up two Midseason All-American honors as he was named a Midseason All-American by CBS Sports on Tuesday and a second-teamer by the Associated Press on Wednesday.
Kamara, a fifth-year senior from Central, N.J., leads the nation in sacks (9.5) and sacks per game (1.58) while climbing the program's career charts in both sacks and tackles for loss. His 11.5 tackles for loss and 1.92 per game marks are both No. 6 nationally.
Within the program, Kamara - a team captain as selected by his teammates - currently sits at No. 3 all-time with 27.0 sacks, and he is 1.5 away from tying Brady Smith (1992-95; 28.5) for second all-time and six away from tying Clark Haggans (1996-99; 33.0) for the most all-time. On the tackles for loss chart, Kamara sits at No. 6 with 40.0 and 2.0 TFLs away from moving into a tie for third.
