Colorado State welcomes Erin Debiec, Jordyn Tynsky, Jessica Lawton and Brooke Holman

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Head Coach Emily Kohan and the Colorado State Volleyball program announced the addition of four athletes to the 2024 recruiting class Wednesday afternoon on National Signing Day. Erin Debiec, Jordyn Tynsky, Jessica Lawton and Brooke Holman will all join the Rams next fall.

Debiec joins the Rams as a 6-foot-1 setter from Potomac, Maryland. Playing for Bishop O'Connell High School as a four-year varsity athlete, she also is a three-time all-conference recipient, two-time first team all-state and was named the most outstanding players on her team in 2022. She intends on studying psychology during her time at Colorado State.

"Erin is one of the bigger and most athletic setters in the 2024 class across the U.S.," Kohan said. "She plays at a very high level with her club team and has experience setting top attackers and running a true offense. She will immediately fit in to the physicality of our gym and has great potential in all aspects of the game."

"I chose Colorado State because I felt a great connection with the coaches and team," Debiec said. "I thought the school was beautiful and the volleyball atmosphere was incomparable. They are an amazing program giving me a chance, and I cannot wait to be a part of the Ramily."

Tynsky joins the Rams as a 5-foot-8 defensive specialist from Denton, Texas. Playing for Denton Guyer High School as a libero, she was named to the 2022 AVCA Phenom Watchlist and boasts a 2020 Texas State Championship. In 2022 she was named to the first-team all-district list as well as being named the defensive player of the year. She intends on studying psychology during her time at Colorado State.

"Jordyn has a feisty personality and plays with a lot of energy," Kohan said. "I love how competitive she is and will run through a wall on defense, the crowd is going to love her amazing digs. She's been a Ram fan for a long time, so it is really fun to have her live out the dream of playing in green and gold."

"I chose Colorado State because it felt like home," Tynsky said. "CSU has the best atmosphere and people, and I knew right when I stepped foot on campus that this was where I wanted to be."

Lawton joins the Rams as a 6-foot-2 pin attacker from Hales Corners, Wisconsin. Playing all over the front row for Whitnall High School as a four-year varsity starter, she was named first-team all-conference in 2022 and was a part of an undefeated conference championship team this last season in 2023. She intends on studying health and exercise science during her time at Colorado State.

"Jessica is a very talented, well-rounded volleyball player that can play in a lot of roles," Kohan said. "She played as a middle blocker for her younger years and is newly converted to the pin. This type of versatility is great on any team, especially when she has the size to go along with it."

"I chose Colorado State for several reasons. The atmosphere and team culture were two of the main things that stood out to me from the moment I first stepped in the gym.," Lawton said. "I also remember looking around Moby Arena and seeing myself playing there. I fell in love with the campus and mountains too. These things have stuck with me since the first trip I had to Colorado State!"

Holman joins the Rams as a 6-foot-1 pin hitter from Centennial, Colorado. Playing for Littleton High School, she is a three-time varsity letter winner and captained her team this last season in 2023. She intends on studying business administration during her time at Colorado State.

"Brooke is a gifted athlete with a great arm that's fairly new to high level volleyball," Kohan said. "She has tremendous untapped potential and we've seen many athletes like her excel in our program. She's also an incredibly hard worker that is eager to learn and keep getting better every time she's in the gym."

"Immediately after my first time meeting the team and coaching staff at CSU, I knew they would welcome me and encourage me to be my best self throughout my college life," Holman said. "I loved feeling like a part of the team from day one, and that's why I chose to be a part of the Ramily!"
