The class is ranked among the best in the Mountain West and one of the best in school history.
Â
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – A theme under head coach Jay Norvell has been to sign some of the highest ranked players in school history while compiling overall classes that rank among the best from the Group of 5 in the country. On Wednesday, that theme continued as Colorado State welcomed 19 new Rams into the fold as the first wave of signees for the class of 2024.
Â
Among those 19 was four-star wide receiver Jordan Ross who, according to 247Sports.com, is the second-highest rated player to ever sign at Colorado State. Â Overall, the class is currently ranked as 247Sports' highest-rated group in the Mountain West, holding a slim margin over UNLV.
Â
By position, the Rams signed three wide receivers, one running back, one quarterback, and five offensive lineman on offense to go along with four defensive back, four defensive linemen, and one linebacker on defense.
Â
The Rams went across the country to build the class, but when it was all said and done, the class proved heavy on California products as 12 of the new Rams call California home. Three in-state products, including two legacy signees in Dagan Myers (Greg) and Jack Moran (Sean), added some Centennial State flair to the class. The Rams also added from Oregon, Arizona, Arkansas, and Kansas.
Â
Next of the agenda for Norvell and the Rams will be to finish out the class in February with the traditional signing period on Wednesday, Feb. 7. The annual Denver Ram Roundup event will be held on Monday, Feb. 12.
