Rams Continue Conference Play on Road

CSU to face Utah State and Boise State
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The No. 63 Rams are heading to Boise, Idaho to compete in two duals. Colorado State women's tennis is playing Utah State on Saturday at 10 a.m. and Boise State on Sunday at 2 p.m. Both matches will be held at the Appleton Tennis Center in Boise. There will be live stats and live coverage available for the Utah State match and live stats and live coverage for the Boise State match.

"We are eager to face two more Mountain West teams," head coach Mai-Ly Tran said. "We showed a lot of fight and grit in moments, and we are looking to build on that from our previous matches."

The Aggies are 0-6 in conference and 5-11 overall. Last season, the Rams beat Utah state 4-0 and head-to-head historically CSU is leading 10-9. The Broncos are 9-8 overall and 2-4 in conference play. The last time they played, the Rams won 4-1 and historically the Broncos lead the series 14-2.Â

"Like I said, every MW team is tough on any given day so we will prepare and expect it to be extremely challenging and adapt accordingly," Tran said. "I know our team will fight and we are excited to be in those moments and embrace them."

So far this season, Radka Buzkova has 22 singles wins and last year, tied for fifth-most in a single campaign; Buzkova ranked third in all-time single season wins at 25 in 2021-22. Zara Lennon sits at 18 singles wins this season, the second most on the team.

"I'm not surprised to hear about the number of wins from Radka and Zara. They have battled in so many matches and found ways to beat their opponents on tough days," Tran said. "They have a huge impact on this team and it's great to see success at the top of our lineup which will help down the road at our conference tournament."
