Eight Rams Named to PFF Preseason All-Mountain West Team

The first team was highlighted by four Rams.
FORT COLLINS - Eight Rams accounted for nine selections on Pro Football Focus' Preseason All-Mountain West team including four first-team selections, the second-most of any team in the league.
Wide receiver Tory Horton, defensive backs Jack Howell and Chigozie Anusiem, and defensive end Mohamed Kamara led the Rams on the first team. The three defensive Rams were the most by any team on the first-team defensive squad.
Horton, Howell, and Kamara also previously earned preseason All-Mountain West honors as voted on by the Mountain West media ahead of the 2023 season.
On the second team, defensive back Ayden Hector was named to the FLEX slot, while wide receiver Justus Ross-Simmons, defensive lineman Grady Kelly, defensive back Henry Blackburn, and Horton (as a return specialist) were named to the third team.
Colorado State begins the 2023 season at home hosting Washington State on Saturday, Sept. 2. Kick is set for 5 p.m., and a limited number of tickets remain available for the contest as the program aims to sell out the home opener.

Sell Out Washington State; Kick Times Announced
Ram fans can start to fill in their calendars, book their hotels, and secure their tailgating spots for the entirety of the 2023 season as five of the six home games - all of which will be played on Saturdays this fall - have been announced along with the Rocky Mountain Showdown. The home opener against Washington State, set for Saturday, Sept. 2, will kick off at 5 p.m. The Boise State game, slated for Homecoming and Family Weekend, received a 12-day out designation from Fox Sports which means the kick time for that game will be determined 12-days prior to kick off on Monday, Oct. 2.
