Noyes’ Record-Setting Performance Garners MW Weekly Recognition

FORT COLLINS. – Perfection. That is one of many words that could describe Colorado State kicker Jordan Noyes' performance against Nevada on Saturday as the graduate senior was spotless on three field goal attempts and three PATs, earning himself Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week recognition for the second time this season.
However, it was not Noyes' pure performance that garnered the headlines, rather the career-long 60-yard boot he made with five minutes left in the first half. The Wolf Pack called a timeout just before Noyes' first attempt to give the Englishman more time to think, but he blocked out the noise and converted a kick that set a Mackay Stadium record.
The 60-yarder is tied for the second-longest kick in the FBS this season and is just one of four field goals of at least 60 yards. The kick also tied the second-longest in program history and made Noyes the only Ram ever to convert two field goals of 58-yards or longer in a single season after he made a then-career long 58-yarder against San Jose State.
In total, Noyes scored 12 points which included a 35-yard field goal with 1:11 left to put an exclamation point on the Rams' victory. Noyes' performance played a large part in Colorado State becoming bowl eligible for the first time since 2017.
Colorado State will take advantage of a bye week to prepare for a rivalry matchup with Wyoming on Nov. 14 at Canvas Stadium.
