Utah State visits Saturday; Boise State on Sunday

FORT COLLINS – After a split weekend on the road to open Mountain West play, getting a pair of chances at home feels like an opportunity.

Colorado State's women's tennis team will host Utah State (Saturday, 11 a.m.) and Boise State (Sunday, 12 p.m.) this weekend in Fort Collins. The weather forecast for Saturday suggests the match with the Aggies will be played outdoors at the CSU Tennis Complex. Sunday's match with the Broncos is to be determined for the site; indoors it will be played at the Fort Collins Country Club.

Both matches will have live scoring and a live stream.

Utah State dropped both matches the opening weekend of conference, including to a ranked San Diego State team. The Aggies are 3-9 in duals overall. This will be the 21st meeting between the two, with the series evenly split at 10 wins each.

Boise State came out of the opening conference weekend, including a win over the Aztecs. The perfect league start moved the Broncos to 6-6 overall. They lead the overall series with the Rams 3-14, but Colorado State has won the past two meetings.

The Rams are excited to return to their home courts where they 4-2 this season, one of the losses ended the team-record 16-match home win streak which began three years ago when coach Mai-Ly Tran took over the program.

"It has been a few weeks since we've been at home and it's obvious we love to play at home in front of our supporters.  The season is flying by and it's the most exciting time of the year with Mountain West play," Tran said. "We're grateful to be able to host Utah State and Boise State this weekend.  We expect both of them to be close battles and we look to bounce back from a tough road weekend.  We're looking forward to any day we get an opportunity to compete."

The past weekend was a clean sweep for Radka Buzkova, who won a pair of matches with doubles partner Viktoryia Zhadzinskaya at the top spot and two wins at No. 2 singles. The victories  moved her to No. 8 in the record book with 58 career singles wins, 59 in doubles to rank fourth. Zara Lennon won a pair of singles matches at No. 1, pushing her season record to 13-5.
