Horton Adds Walter Camp Player of the Year Watch List

Horton named one of fifty “players to watch” by the Walter Camp Football Foundation
FORT COLLINS – Another preseason honor has been announced for Colorado State's All-American candidate wide receiver Tory Horton as the graduate was named to the Walter Camp 2024 Player of the Year Preseason Watch list the Walter Camp Football Foundation announced Monday.
Horton is one of five ball catchers on the list and is one of three players from the Mountain West.
Last season he led the Rams with 96 receptions for 1,136 yards and eight touchdowns – back-to-back seasons of 1,000-plus yards. He led the Mountain West in receptions per game with eight and was second in the league in average receiving yards with a 94.7 mark. His first season with Rams in 2022, Horton tallied 71 catches for 1,131 and eight touchdowns.
The 2024 Player of Year watch list will be narrowed to 10 semi-finalists in early November and three finalists will be announced on November 26. The 2024 Walter Camp Player of the Year recipient, which is voted on by the 133 NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches and sports information directors, will be announced on ESPN's College Football Awards Show on December 12.
The Walter Camp Foundation is a member of the National College Football Awards Association. Founded in 1997, the NCFAA includes college football's most prestigious awards and its 24 awards have honored more than 900 recipients dating back to 1935.
