Avery Vander Ven signs with IBV in Iceland

FORT COLLINS– Captain, All-Conference selection, next level Ram, a new title for former Colorado State soccer player Avery Vander Ven after signed a contract with IBV in Iceland.

Vander Ven, completed her two years in Fort Collins this past fall leaving her mark on the CSU record book. The defender from Parker, Colo. was a two-time All-Mountain West selection after transferring back to her home state from Texas.

Over her two seasons in Fort Collins, Vander Ven raked up eight assists, leaving Colorado State tied for the second most in a career. Five of those assists came in 2023 when she helped the Rams reach their first Mountain West championship game.

In her final season in the Green & Gold, Vander Ven never missed a minute helping CSU to is second 12 win season, including a program-best seven Mountain West matched. The Rams earned its highest amount of conference games at seven.

She is one of four Rams to ever earn All-Conference honors multiple times.

Vander Ven joins fellow teammate Kaitlin Abrams who is also playing professionally.
