Colorado State Falls to New Mexico

Lobos outscore Rams in game one of series
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Colorado State softball team fell to the New Mexico Lobos Friday afternoon at Lobo Softball Field. After coming out strong in the first three innings, the Rams fell short in the first game of the conference series.Â
New Mexico – 6, Colorado State – 3Â
- Autumn Rutherford and Bohlender both had two hits on the game, with one of Rutherford's hits being a RBI-single to bring in the third run of the game for the Rams. Â
- Abby Edward pinch hit for Morgan Coleman the first time through the lineup and produced a two-run RBI at the bottom of the second to get the Rams on the board early.Â
- Lauren Stucky, Kaylynn English, Jailey Wilson, Kyra Smith, Jordan West and Carolina Buffaloe all contributed hits to the Colorado State offense as well in an 11 hit game.Â
- Defensively, West added three assists from shortstop with Wilson totaling 10 putouts at first base.Â
- Reagan Wick pitched six innings, dealing three strikeouts in her 15th complete game of the season.Â
