Lobos defeat Rams in game two of series
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Colorado State softball team fell to the New Mexico Lobos Saturday afternoon at Lobo Softball Field. After coming out hot in the first inning, the Rams went cold offensively in the second game of the conference series.
New Mexico – 3, Colorado State – 1
- Autumn Rutherford produced a RBI single at the top of the first, bringing in Brooke Bohlender to get the Rams on the board early.
- Bohlender had two doubles on the game, going 2-3 on the day and leading the Rams with a .383 batting average.
- Abby Edwards and Jordan West also contributed singles to the Rams offense.
- Defensively, Kaylynn English added three assists from second base with Jailey Wilson totaling 11 putouts at first base.
- Giselle Bentley pitched six innings, dealing four strikeouts and shutting down the Lobos offensively after the first inning.
