Rams Hit the Road for Week Four

Colorado State travels to Las Vegas to face the Rebels
FORT COLLINS – The Colorado State softball team will compete in its fourth week of conference play against UNLV on April 2 - April 4. The Rams come off their second conference series win against Boise State this past weekend, after a walk-off home run in the seventh inning of the rubber match Sunday by Kyra Smith.   Â

What You Need to Know     Â
- This is the second week of conference that will played on the road for the Rams. Â
- All three games during the weekend will be streamed and can be accessed on the Mountain West Network.     Â
- Colorado State will return to Ram Field the following week to face San Jose State in a midweek doubleheader April 8.Â

Game Notes      Â
- The Rams went 2-1 during the weekend, with a big conference series win against the Broncos, improving the Rams record to 17-17 overall and 5-4 in conference.  Â
- Madi Eslinger lead the Rams offensively throughout the weekend, going three-for-three at the plate with one extra-base hit for a batting average of .667 and a slugging percentage of 1.000 on the weekend.Â
- Kyra Smith notched her fifth home run of the season in Sunday's game against Boise State, giving the Rams the game three and overall series win.  Â
- The Rams ended the weekend with 22 total hits and 15 runs through three games. As a team, CSU finished the weekend with a .411 batting average and .429 slugging percentage. Defensively, the Rams notched 60 putouts and 37 assists as a whole.   Â
- Giselle Bentley also notched two wins during the weekend against Boise State, advancing her record to 5-6 after adding two strikeouts through 9 innings pitched, ending the weekend with a 2.33 ERA.Â
- Olivia Schmidt made an appearance in the third game of the series, finishing her appearance with a 0.00 ERA and allowing no runs or hits through 1.2 innings pitched.Â
