2011 (Junior): Placed 23rd in the 3,000-meter run at the MW indoor championships (Feb. 25), finishing in an indoor season-best time of 10:35.31...Took 14th in the 5,000-meter run at the MW indoor championships (Feb. 25), clocking in at 18:35.08...Earned a second-place finish in the 3,000-meter run at the Front Range Championships (May 1), with a new personal record of 10:13.0...Came in tenth in the 5,000-meter run and fourth in the 10,000-meter run at the MW outdoor championships (May 14).

2010 (Sophomore): In her first event of the indoor season, Gerk ran the Rams[apos] fourth-best time in the 5,000 meters, crossing the line at 17:28.03, placing second (Jan. 23)... Finished second in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:35.67 at the Don Barretttt Air Force Duals (Jan. 30)... Ran a season-best in the 3,000 meters, placing fifth (10:18.69) at the New Mexico Classic (Feb. 5)... Placed 18th (17:14.23) in the 5,000 meters at Iowa State, a Rams season best (Feb. 13)... Altered the CSU record books in the 10,000-meter run in the outdoor season at the Mt. SAC Relays, placing 13th with a time of 35:24.47, good for eighth all-time (April 15)... Placed third (10:21.10) in the 3,000 meters at the Front Range Classic (May 1)... Ran the 5,000 meters in 17:51.25, good for sixth place at the MWC championships (May 15)... Awarded MWC academic all-conference.

2009 (Freshman): Kendra had a productive first season as she recorded her best times in the MWC indoor championships with a seventh-place finish in the 3,000-meters (10:23.74) and a 10th-place finish in the 5,000-meters (19:03.35). She started the outdoor season with a ninth-place finish in the 1,500-meters (4:52.25) at the CU Invitational (April 11) . She had a nice performance at the Oregon Relays (April 23) finishing the 5,000-meter race in 17th place with a time of 17:12.16. She ended her season at the MWC championships with an eighth-place finish in the 10,000-meters (39:22.74) and a fifth-place finish in the 5,000-meters (18:19.00).

High School: While attending Greeley West High School in Greeley, Colo., Kendra was the 2007 state champion in both the 1,600 meters and 3,200 meters. She lettered four times in both cross country and track, and was named Greeley Tribune Athlete of the Year three times. Twice she was a league champion and was named first-team all-state in cross country in 2005. She was named cross country MVP from 2005-07 and track MVP from 2006-07. In 2006, she won the Division 4A championship for cross country and in 2007 was the 4A state champion in cross country. She holds the school record for both the 1,600-meters (5:06) and 3,200-meters (10:56).

Personal: Kendra was born Feb. 23, 1990, to Kenneth and Margaret Gerk. She has two older sisters, Beth and Kelly, who competed in cross country and track at the University of Northern Colorado. She is majoring in health and exercise science.
