Ashley Reid is in her second season with the Colorado State football team in 2017, serving as director of football administration/community relations.
Her main role is to provide executive-level administrative leadership and professional support for head football coach Mike Bobo and his staff. She is also responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the football office, and assists with community relations. Reid oversees the program’s Touchdown and Starting Lineup booster clubs and handles communication with interns and players’ parents, and oversees all scheduling and community engagements for Bobo.
Prior to her current title, Reid served a variety of roles within the CSU Athletics Department, including two years as director of operations for the track & field program (2014-16). The Rams won three conference championships during that span, with Reid also coaching the horizontal jumps.
In her first year of coaching at CSU, Reid led three qualifiers to the NCAA West Preliminary Round, six outdoor all-conference athletes, and five indoor all-conference athletes. Reid was an integral part of CSU’s journey to winning both the men's and women's outdoor Mountain West team championships in 2015. Additionally, she coached triple jumper Jonathan Edmunds to the best CSU mark in outdoor history (50-10).
An all-conference honoree, Reid was a national qualifier in the high jump and triple jump, earning honorable mention All-America honors in the high jump in 2013. She finished her career with the third-highest women's indoor high jump in school history (5-10.5). She also ranked fifth all-time in the triple jump at 40-4.75. Reid was a two-time academic All-Mountain West recipient, as well as a member of the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association's All-Academic team.
In 2014, Ashley won the prestigious Wilma Rudolph Award for displaying great perseverance to overcome tremendous adversity that threatened to derail both her academic and athletic career. She was recognized at the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) annual convention in Orlando, Fla. More on her story can be found here.
The Las Vegas native was also named CSU's 2014 Fum McGraw Award co-recipient, which is presented to the “most outstanding overall student-athlete who embodies academic and athletic excellence, character, leadership, service, concern for others and unwavering Ram pride.” She earned a liberal arts degree from CSU in May 2014.
