Zach Higginbotham

Zach Higginbotham joined the CSU staff in May 2019 as assistant football strength and conditioning coach. He comes to the Rams’ program from the University of Louisiana Monroe, where he was assistant director of strength and conditioning.
Prior to his career at ULM, Higginbotham was an assistant football strength and conditioning coach at Nevada for the 2018 season. He directed all return-to-play for injured athletes in rehabilitation and also oversaw all developmental work for underclassman.
Before coaching at Nevada, Higginbotham was a strength and conditioning intern and helped implement sports science with the Ohio State football program from 2016-17. He worked primarily with safeties and cornerbacks under Greg Schiano and was a part of winning the Big-10 conference championship that season.
Higginbotham received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science along with a minor in psychology from Marshall University in 2017. As a linebacker on Marshall’s football team he won a division title and won multiple bowl games from 2013-16. While playing at Marshall, Higginbotham interned for Marshall’s strength and conditioning program during his last two years of eligibility.
