Personal: Anna Porter joins the Rams Volleyball program as a graduate transfer from William & Mary University ahead of the 2023 season. She will compete for the Rams in her final year of eligibility as she joins the team as a libero/defensive specialist. A four-year starter at William and Mary, Porter will add depth and experience to the Colorado State backrow. The Atlanta, Georgia native will be pursuing her master’s degree in Sports Management while at CSU. She is the daughter of Timothy and Melissa Porter and college athletics runs in the family. Her father, Tim, was a member of the Purdue Track and Field team. Her mother, Melissa, played golf at Notre Dame and her sister, Rose, plays volleyball at Iona University. She has two other older siblings, Sam and Teddy.

Kohan on Porter: “Anna fit in so well with our team and culture from the second we began this process with her,” Kohan said. “Her experience in the back court will impact our team immediately. She’s a hard worker and feisty competitor, exactly what we like to see in our Ram players.”

Anna on CSU: “CSU checked off so many boxes that I prioritized when on my search for playing in graduate school,” Porter said. “The team culture and support are unmatched from any program I have ever seen. The coaches and team seem all to be so caring and competitive, which is exactly what I was looking for. Fort Collins is an unbelievable city with gorgeous views and so many restaurants, breweries and more! To add on to all of this, the graduate program seems to be so fascinating and right up my alley. It is pretty easy for me to say that coming to CSU was a no brainer.”
