Personal: Born on January 22, 2006... Daughter of Susan Lawton and Robert Lawton… Intends to major in Health and Exercise Science with a career goal of becoming an athletic trainer... When she’s not on the court you can find her swimming, cooking, and spending time outside with friends.
Kohan on Lawton: "Jessica is a very talented, well-rounded volleyball player that can play in a lot of roles," Kohan said. "She played as a middle blocker for her younger years and is newly converted to the pin. This type of versatility is great on any team, especially when she has the size to go along with it."
Jessica on CSU: "I chose Colorado State for several reasons. The atmosphere and team culture were two of the main things that stood out to me from the moment I first stepped in the gym. I also remember looking around Moby Arena and seeing myself playing there. I fell in love with the campus and mountains, too. These things have stuck with me since the first trip I had to Colorado!"
