Vicki Dombeck joined the Strategic Communications department in August of 2022 and serves as the Assistant Director of Communications and media contact for the volleyball, softball and women's golf programs. She also serves as the lead of the student intern program and growing NIL storytelling initiatives.

Through her time at Colorado State she has led initiatives primarily with the Colorado State volleyball team including communicating and promoting the head coaching transition of Emily Kohan, a 2024 Regular Season and Tournament Conference Championship for the Rams as well as numerous individual athlete accolades. In her first two years in the department she also served as the primary contact for the track and field programs including communicating and promoting five collective Mountain West Championships and an individual title from Mya Lesnar.

She continues to lead the effort of sustaining a historically strong support system of the volleyball program within Fort Collins community as Moby Madness continues to be one of the toughest environments to play at within college volleyball. In her three years with the program, Colorado State volleyball has recorded three of the top four volleyball crowds in history including a sold-out win over the Colorado Buffaloes September 15, 2022. Posting three consecutive seasons with a 3,000+ fan attendance average for the first time in program history, the Rams also set the program record for highest average attendance in 2024 at 3,527.

Prior to coming to Fort Collins, Dombeck spent three years as an intern in the University of Wisconsin Athletics Department serving as the primary contact for the softball program while also working directly with the men’s hockey and women’s basketball programs.

During her time at UW, she also assisted in the brand development of the volleyball program, which won the national championship in 2021, and the men’s basketball program, which won the Big Ten championship in 2022.

Dombeck graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2022 with a degree in journalism and minors in Sports Communication and Digital Studies.
