Women Picked Second, Men Third

In a vote by the Mountain West Conference cross country coaches, the Colorado State women's cross country team was predicted to finish second, while the men were picked third.
The women's team received one first-place vote and 56 points to finish behind defending champion BYU's 64 points. New Mexico (49) was picked third, while Wyoming (41) was fourth and Air Force and San Diego State tied for fifth with 28 points each. Utah (26), TCU (22) and UNLV (10) rounded out the voting.
For the men, BYU was picked to win with five first-place nods and 25 points, while Air Force was second with 20 points and the Rams were third with the final first-place vote and 18 points. Wyoming (12), New Mexico (10) and TCU (5) rounded out the voting.
The season begins on Sept. 1 for the Rams with the Wyoming Invitational, which begins at 6:00 p.m.
