Gillmore, Richburg accept invitations to NFL combine

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State tight end Crockett Gillmore and center Weston Richburg have accepted invitations to the NFL combine held on Feb. 22-25 in Indianapolis, Ind.
This will mark the first time since 2010 (Cole Pemberton and Shelley Smith) that a CSU football player was invited to the combine.
Gillmore, who began his collegiate career as a defensive end, finished his senior campaign with 577 receiving yards, the third-most in a single season by a CSU tight end.
“Like all the accolades I’ve received this season, it’s an honor,” Gillmore said. “It’s an honor to be invited and to go compete and represent Bushland (Texas) and Colorado State at this event.”
The 6-foot-6, 255-pound native of Bushland, Texas, was voted first-team All-Mountain West by vote of coaches and media. Gillmore has also accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Game.
Richburg, who started a program-best 50-consecutive games for the Rams, will train in Arizona with former Pro Bowl center LaCharles Bentley.
Richburg, also a native of Bushland, Texas, accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl, an all-star event that hasn’t seen a Rams football player since Joel Dreessen in 2004.
Like Gillmore, Richburg earned first-team All-Mountain West honors. The 6-foot-4, 300-pound center graded above 90-percent in all 14 games for the Rams and recorded over 45 knockdown blocks.
Offensive linemen and tight ends will participate on the first day of the NFL combine (Feb. 22).
