Rams host Bears as part of spring schedule at 7 p.m. MT at on-campus football stadium

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Colorado State women's soccer team will host Northern Colorado at the on-campus football stadium as part of its spring schedule this Wednesday night.

Kickoff from CSU Stadium is slated for 7 p.m. MT. The event is open to the public. Fans may enter through the north entrance off of Pitkin Street in front of the New Belgium Porch at the north end zone. The on-campus stadium's clear bag policy will be in effect for the game.

Recommended lots for parking include Lot 240 northwest of the stadium, the Lory Student Center parking lot and the Morgan Library parking lot. Parking is free in each of those lots beyond 4:30 p.m. MT. Fans attending should abide by parking signage and directions in those respective parking lots.

This marks the first time that any Colorado State athletics team other than football will appear at the on-campus football stadium for any official or exhibition contest. This also marks the midpoint of CSU women's soccer's spring schedule, with only three events remaining. The Rams host Metro State on Sunday, April 8 (1 p.m. MT at CSU Soccer Field) before a three-team round robin at Denver on Saturday, April 14 (10:15 a.m. MT at Denver Soccer Field) and their First Annual Alumni Game on Sunday, April 15 (12 p.m. MT at CSU Soccer Field).

The on-campus football stadium opened at the beginning of the 2017 football season, marking the program's first move back to on-campus competition in 50 years. The stadium's design embraces Colorado's natural beauty, topography and visual connections to the Rocky Mountains from campus and ensures functionality for both game-day and non-game-day usage. The $220 million, 727,000-square-foot facility is located between Pitkin and Lake Streets, just west of Shields Street in Fort Collins, Colo.

The Colorado State women's soccer team is set to return 20 letterwinners and add seven newcomers to the roster in 2018. More details on Colorado State's spring schedule are available here, while CSU's most up-to-date spring roster can be found here.
