FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- The Colorado State football team wrapped up its fourth week of spring ball Sunday with Practice No. 12 taking place on Sonny Lubick Field inside the on-campus stadium on a warm, sunny afternoon. The two-hour workout began with regular practice periods composed of technique and individual drills, as well as team periods, and concluded with four periods of live scrimmage situations. This marked the second scrimmage-type practice of the spring, but with far fewer live periods than in last Sunday's initial scrimmage.

"It was competitive," Bobo said. "Their juices were flowing a little bit to start practice, and they would have liked to probably put the ball down and scrimmaged like we did last weekend, but we can't afford to do that right now (because) we're so thin with numbers. I think we got what we needed out of today's practice: Some good special teams work, some good situational work, and then put the ball down and went live and everybody came out healthy."
The scrimmage segment of practice included the first and second units on offense and defense being plugged into a medley of scenarios. The offense was tasked with full-field drives starting at its own 25, and later the defense was expected to hold firm in red zone situations. After those two scenarios were played out, the scrimmage ended with a one-minute situation followed by two-point conversion plays. The one-minute drill ended with a field goal attempt that was blocked by senior linebacker Tre Thomas. Ultimately, both sides of the ball had successful moments.
"I thought it was a pretty good day," Bobo said. "There was better execution by the offense. They had zero turnovers and had a couple explosive plays. The defense did a good job. (The first defensive unit) did a really good job after the first series."

CSU has three more practices scheduled for the spring season, culminating in the annual Green & Gold Game on Saturday at 12 p.m. MT, to be played on Sonny Lubick Field at CSU Stadium. For more gameday information, click here.
Junior fullback Adam Prentice Q: You scored your first TD of your career against Air Force last season… what was that feeling like?
A: It was crazy, it was exciting. My family was in the crowd so that was a little more exciting for them to be there and to see my first touchdown so that was a lot of fun.
Q: CSU's offense has been very productive the past few seasons… what does it feel like when everything is just clicking and the team is moving right on down the field?
A: It is just a product of our hard work that we have all put in, in the offseason, and this season, and it is just an accumulation of all the work we put in.
Q: You began your CSU career as a walk-on… How did it feel when you were told that you were being given a scholarship?
A: I was a little in shock just the way they presented it to me. They kind of presented it as they called me in their office and told me that 'I was in trouble for going downtown' and I was like 'well what do you mean I wasn't downtown, like I promise' and then they just kind of flipped the switch and just told me. It was kind of surreal and it took a long time to sink in.
Q: What led you to come to CSU?
A: I had come here to be a civil engineer and I knew the engineering program was good so I just saw the opportunity to play Division I football for this program.
Q: Outside of football, what are you most excited about this semester and this year?
A: As far as school, I am just getting more excited to graduate, and I just get closer to getting into the real world. I'm excited to work as an engineer and do that. Also thinking of football, potentially going to the next level is definitely a goal of mine so it is just exciting to see this chapter slowly coming to an end, well rather quickly, but also that next chapter is what I look forward to.
Q: If you could travel back in time or the in future what would you want to see?
A: I would travel into the future, like 100 years into the future just to see how much technology has changed and just to see the differences in our lives and how much they have changed. I know it seems like just after a couple years so much has changed so drastically and so quickly so it would be cool to see what could happen in 100 years.
Q: If money was no object, how would you spend your summer?
A: I would definitely take some trips with my family and go to Europe and some stuff. I have always wanted to go to Italy so I think that would be cool to take them on some awesome trips.
Q: Favorite trip or vacation you've taken?
A: My favorite trip would be when I went to New York with my family. We've been a couple times but we went to the city and to upstate so that was a lot of fun but it was so nice to see the city side of it with my family and to see the countryside. It was a lot of fun just to be with them and to see both sides of New York.
