What You Need to Know
  • Colorado State is set to take on No. 3 Nevada in the opening round of the tournament Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m.  If the Rams secure a win, they'll advance to face the No. 2 seed, UNLV, at 4:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
  • With only the top six teams in the conference qualifying for the tournament, the No. 3-6 seeds will compete in a single elimination first round of the tournament before the bracket becomes double elimination in the second round and beyond.
  • All games at the conference tournament will be streamed via the Mountain West Network.

Scouting the Tournament
  • Colorado State will kick off the tournament against the No. 3 seeded Nevada Wolf Pack. With both teams ranking on the OBA leaderboard for D1 softball, fans can expect an action-packed game especially on the offensive side.
  • If Colorado State secures a win over the Wolf Pack, they will advance to face off against the No. 2 seed, UNLV. Notably, the Rams began their 2023 conference play against UNLV, resulting in a split with one win each.
  • Completing the tournament field, San Diego State enters as the No. 1 seed and regular-season champions. The Aztecs are slated to face the winner of the No. 4 Fresno State versus No. 5 Boise State game.
Game Notes
  • Six Rams were named to the Mountain West All-Conference team Wednesday morning before the tournament. Maya Matsubara, Peyton Allen and Ashley York were all named to the first team with Molly Gates, Sydney Hornbuckle and Jailey Wilson all named to the second team. • Three senior Rams are making their mark in the conference for runs scored, with Ashley York in third place with 50, Maya Matsubara in fourth with 46, and Peyton Allen in fifth with 45.
