Konold and Kennedy break into the all-time rankings
FORT COLLINS – Colorado State track and field competed at a trio of meets that each saw new entrants to the record book. While most athletes are gearing up for Saturday, a handful still made their presence felt with performances earning personal bests and high placements against elite competition.
UNLV Rebel Invite (Las Vegas, Nev.)
In the women's hammer throw, Kajsa Borrman showed out with an astounding throw of 65.28-meters/214-feet-2 on her third attempt. Not only was Borrman's throw a personal best, but it also moved her into third place all time in CSU history. Borrman now sits third place in a top four that includes Ram legends, Loree Smith, Kelcey Bedard and Mya Lesnar.
On the men's side, five Rams competed in the hammer throw including Adam Hellbom and Cameron Kalaf who made the final heat. Hellbom's 62.15/203-11 ended up securing a second-place finish for the freshman, while Kalaf finished fifth with who recorded a 58.56/192-1.
