Game Day starts well before the ball is kicked at Canvas Stadium

FORT COLLINS – Game day is about more than just the game on the field but rallying all students, fans, alumni and the community to come to Canvas Stadium and have a great day at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in beautiful fall weather. This year, Colorado State brings back some time-honored traditions while introducing new initiatives for football game day.

Friday/Thursday Nights in Old Town
Join Colorado State in Old Town the night before every home game as the Colorado State Marching Band, cheerleaders and appearances by special guests bring Fort Collins together to get ready for game day.

Start Tailgating
Is there ever enough time to tailgate? Starting in 2025, parking lots and tailgating start SIX (6) HOURS PRIOR to kick off, giving Ram fans even more time to enjoy campus and pregame festivities!

Student Tailgate
CSU welcomes its largest freshman class in school history in 2025 and that means an expanded area for the student tailgate as well! The FREE student tailgate is located just to the north of Canvas Stadium off of Meridian and Pitkins. Students can visit the Student Central Page for all information about football game days.

Parking Entrance & Exits
With the expansion of Ram Town, parking lots 412 and 425 entrance and exits will adjust slightly. Fans parking in these two lots will enter them via University Ave. Meridan Ave. will be closed at University Ave., starting six (6) hours prior to kick off.
Ram Town
Bands – Returning this season is the Ram Walk Tailgate Concerts. Bands will turn up the music starting 4-hour prior to game time in the middle of Ram Town.

Battering Ram – Making an appearance in Ram Town will be the Battering Ram – a game day tradition from the 2024 season that was manufactured by the Colorado State University's Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering. Fans will be able to see the battering Ram up close for photos.
Food Options – If you're looking for food options on game day, head to Ram Town, as every game day will feature many local food trucks with an assortment of cuisine

Video Board – Turning for another season is 8x10 foot video board in the middle of Ram Town, displaying other CSU events, highlights and shows ahead of kickoff.

Rams Live
Starting 3.5 hours before kickoff, join Mike Brohard and Ruby Kayser in Ram Town as they talk about all things Colorado State Athletics. The show will include Voice of the Rams, Brian Roth, for a game breakdown, Ram Legends, current student-athletes, coaches, CSU faculty and staff and other guest appearances. The 2.5-hour show will be located along Meridian Avenue, near the student tailgate, diagonally across from the Ram Town tailgate.

Team Route
New for the 2025 season, the Colorado State Football team will make its way through Old Town on game day. The team will be escorted by local law enforcement from the team hotel, through Old Town, before heading to Canvas Stadium and Ram Walk.
The start of Ram Walk will move to the corner of University Ave. and Merdian Ave., as the team will enter campus heading south on Merdian Ave.

Ram Walk
The team will arrive for Ram Walk 2 hours prior to kick off, starting at the corner of University Ave. and Meridian Ave. Fans are encouraged to meet the team as they walk down Meridian Ave. and enter Canvas Stadium through the north gates. CAM the Ram, Colorado State Marching Band, cheerleaders and special guest will all join the team for Ram Walk.

March To Victory
The March to Victory will once again start 48 minutes (in honor of Rams Legend Fum McGraw) before kickoff. The start of the March will begin where the team arrived – corner of Meridian Ave., and University Ave. Fans are encouraged to join the CSU Marching Band, Spirit Squad, CAM the Ram and special guest in the March to Victory, which leads into Canvas Stadium for the pregame show.

CAM Statue
Colorado State students will have Traditions the CAM the Ram outside the FNBO Student Entrance on the southeast side of Canvas Stadium. It has been known that giving traditions a pat on the head has brought good luck to students over the years at CSU and now that good luck is coming to game days.

Pregame Show
The Rams are encouraging all fans to be in your seats 30-minutes prior to kickoff and be ready for the pregame show featuring the CSU Marching Band, Poms and Cheer squads as you get ready to cheer on the Green & Gold.

Team Introduction
Ram Country is the heartbeat of Canvas Stadium and makes Canvas Chaos real.  The Rams are encouraging all Ram Country to be in your seats early (30-minutes prior to kickoff).  You do not want to miss the revamped team introduction in 2025 featuring the Thunder Drum, a special guest each game blasting the CSU Train Horn and plenty of pyrotechnics!  The goal is to for to welcome the 2025 Rams onto Sonny Lubick Field with an electric energy that is Canvas Chaos!

In-Game Entertainment
Back again this year is in-game host Wayne Watts to keep the energy flowing all game long. Canvas Stadium has become one of the hardest places to play and you the fans are a key reason why! Bring the chaos for the full 60 minutes and don't leave early because the celebration of a Rams win starts in the stadium with a post-game fireworks display after every Rams victory.

Student Discounted Concessions – 4th Quarter
Once again, to help keep all Ram students fueled for their critical fourth quarter energy, all students are eligible for the student-discounted concession menu in the fourth quarter.  Students simply need to show their ID and select concession stands on the East Concourse.

Postgame Fireworks
The third quarter break electricity that Ram Country brings for Canvas Chaos is iconic, but it is also impactful. The Rams are 10-3 at home the past two seasons and Ram Country's second half energy is crucial.  Come early and stay the entire game, and when the Rams Win, we are introducing new postgame fireworks!
