- The Rams (4-2) are now 2-0 in MW play for the first time since starting 2-0 in 2005, with both wins coming on the road at Hawaii and Utah State. In 2005 the 2-0 start was comprised of home wins over Air Force and Utah. The last time the Rams won their first two MW road games was 2002, and the last time the Rams began MW play with their first two games on the road and won both was 1994.
- Colorado State has won on the road in back-to-back weeks for the second time under head coach Mike Bobo. The Rams won at New Mexico (Nov. 21) and at Fresno State (Nov. 28) in the final two regular season games of 2015.
- The Rams have won 4 of their last 6 true road games, dating back to last season.
- QB Nick Stevens connected with TE Cameron Butler for a 15-yard touchdown on CSU's first drive of the game. The Rams have scored a TD on their opening drive of the game 2 weeks in a row, and in 3 of their last 4 outings.
- The CSU defense totaled a season-best 7 sacks on the day. Freshman LB Emmanuel Jones had the first two sacks of his collegiate career. DE Arjay Jean had his first 2 sacks of the season. DL Richard King had 1.5 sacks. LB Caleb Smith had his first collegiate sack. DE Jakob Buys also had a sack, and LB Evan Colorito was credited with 0.5 sacks.
- It was the most sacks since the Rams had 9 at New Mexico on Sept. 3, 2011.
- 6 different Rams were in on at least one sack.
- The Rams 'D' had a season-high 13 total tackles for loss. It was the most they've tallied since posting 16 TFLs versus Savannah State on Sept. 5, 2015, and the most against an FBS opponent since also recording 13 TFLs against Utah State on Oct. 14, 2014.
- DE Arjay Jean led the team with 2.5 TFLs
- 8 different Rams were in on at least one TFL.
- Jean made his first start of the season at DE, and finished with 6 tackles, 2 sacks, 3.5 TFLs and a forced fumble.
- The CSU defense forced five 3-and-outs in the first half.
- The Rams outgained the Aggies 190-16 in the first quarter. Last week, CSU outgained Hawai'i 175-15 in the opening quarter. Combined, the Rams have outgained their last two foes 365-31 in the opening frame.
- CSU limited Utah State to 212 total yards of offense, the lowest output by a CSU opponent this season and lowest since the Rams held Savannah State to 183 yards of total offense on Sept. 5, 2015. It was the least since giving up just 191 to Utah State on Nov. 23, 2013. Overall, the Rams outgained the Aggies 509-212.
- Jean and S Jordan Fogal tied for the team lead in tackles with 6 each.
- The Rams gained 509 yards of total offense today, topping the 500-yard mark for the second game in a row and fourth time in 2017. It is the 13th time under head coach Mike Bobo and offensive coordinator Will Friend that the Rams have eclipsed the 500-yard plateau, in 32 games since the start of the 2015 season.
- The offensive line did not surrender a sack for the fourth consecutive game. The Rams o-line entered the game ranked fourth in the NCAA in sacks allowed, 2.0, both of which came against Colorado (9/1/17). The Rams have not given up a sack in 5-of-6 games this season.
