IN THEIR WORDS
Colorado State cross country head coach Art Siemers
"On the women's side, our team is improving, and we ran better here today than we did at the Nuttycombe. Lily (Tomasula-Martin) was the definitely the highlight for us today. On the men's side, I thought we ran a little better at the last meet, but we trained pretty hard this week, so that could be a reason for that. We have to close the gap between our Nos. 4 and 5 and our top three – that gets magnified in the big races. Max (Martinez) is getting more fit each week, and ran well in Kansas this morning. He could surprise some people at the conference meet and be a piece of the puzzle there for us. Hopefully this motivates our team to not get too ahead of ourselves and keep training hard the next couple of weeks."
