Rams open 2019 schedule with exhibition against Missouri on Wednesday

CSU to host the Tigers at CSU Soccer Field at 10 a.m.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State women's soccer team will get its first taste of outside competition leading up to the 2019 season when the Rams host Missouri for an exhibition match this Wednesday at 10 a.m. at CSU Soccer Field.
In 2018, Colorado State posted its most single-season wins and best conference record since the program's inception in 2013. CSU women's soccer has never previously faced Missouri, who finished the 2018 season with a 6-11-2 record, including 3-6-1 in the tough Southeastern Conference.
Wednesday's exhibition match will serve as CSU's final tune-up before the regular season begins with a home match next Thursday, Aug. 22 against Marquette at 4 p.m. The opening homestand concludes against SIUE on Sun., Aug. 25 at 12 p.m.
Rams Begin Third Season at CSU Soccer Field
- The Colorado State women's soccer program, which enters its seventh season in 2019, moved to a new, permanent home in 2018. After playing its matches in Fort Collins at The Lagoon from 2014-16, the Rams called CSU Soccer Field
- The Rams' facility, which was designed with consideration to both training and official matches, is located directly adjacent to Moby Arena and CSU softball's Ram Field at the intersection of Shields and Elizabeth Streets.
- Fans looking to attend a home CSU soccer match may park in the Moby Arena parking lot, conveniently located immediately next to the Rams' new facility. Entrances to the Moby Arena parking lot are located on Shields Street and on Plum Street.
- Fans attending a CSU home match can expect seating and set-up similar to game days at The Lagoon, and are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets or other similar items to use for seating at a match.
