Rams Add One on February Signing Day

Long joins the December and January school-start members in the class of 2024.
FORT COLLINS - Colorado State added one new Ram to the 2024 signing class on Wednesday as Owen Long became the latest signee in this year's signing class.
Long, a 6-foot-2 athlete from Whittier, California (La Serna High School), projects as a linebacker at the collegiate level. He joins 24 previously announced Rams in this signing class including five transfers who joined the team ahead of the spring semester and 19 December signees who were announced during the early signing period.

- A two-way player, he rushed for 3,096 yards and 49 TDs in his career, setting the school rushing record
- Defensively, recorded 323 tackles with 12.0 TFLs and nine interceptions
- Four-time CIF Division 4 Player of the Year
- Two-time Cal-Hi California All-State selection
- Football captain for three seasons
- A two-sport athlete including baseball
- Parents are Larry and Gina Long
- Has three brothers (Dylan, Jake and Grady) and one sister, Samantha
- Father played baseball at Azusa Pacific. Brother Dyan played at Cal Poly and Jake is currently playing at Santa Ana
