Emma Cantril joined the strength and conditioning staff in February of 2024, working with swimming and diving, soccer and cross country.
Cantril earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Western Colorado University in 2015, obtaining her master’s in high altitude exercise physiology from the university in May of 2023. She holds certification as a precision nutrition L1, a CrossFit Level 2 trainer and as an NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist.
Prior to Colorado State, Cantril worked as a medical assistant and as a teaching assistant in Gunnison, Colo. Her first role in college athletics as a graduate assistant sports performance coach at her alma mater, focusing her time with the three programs she works with at CSU. She also served as a volunteer assistant strength and conditioning coach from 2020-2022 and was a volunteer assistant women’s soccer coach from 2019-2022.
A Fort Collins native, she graduated from Poudre High School. She and her husband, Scott remain active with mountain biking, trail runs and Crossfit.
