Rams Drop First Colorado Springs Game of the Weekend 1-0

Gabi McDonald records CSU record 12 saves

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State fell just short against Colorado College Friday night down in the Springs, losing 1-0 after a goal in the 27th minute.

The Tigers gave themselves significantly more opportunities, tallying 19 total shots against Colorado State's 11. Gabi McDonald held her own in the net, scoring 12 saves on the night, which marked a new CSU single-game record. But a 27th minute shot from Jacqui Hand was all Colorado College needed to take the lead early and hold onto it for the whole game.

With the Rams now sitting at a 6-4-1 record, they are still only one win away from breaking the program's single season win record. Their next opportunity will be against Air Force this Sunday at noon.
